Caterina Perinetti Casoni aka Peri Neri was born in Treviso in 1980 but grew up from an early age on the rolling hills of Lake Garda, in the north of Italy. She chose artistic studies right from high school and continued them, graduating from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, in Milan, in the theatrical scenography curricula.
She began working in fashion maison but her artistic drive led her to follow her own paths of self-learning, experimentation and artistic creation with her own projects and participation in numerous non-institutionalized artistic groups and to exhibit in atypical and unconventional places. Here her pseudonym Peri Neri was born, initially as a logo but once it was established that her artistic production could not be marketed as a business it remained her stage name.
She continues her personal training thanks to her varied professional experiences which move between scenography and costume, between fashion and live entertainment, dance and performance, all united by the common thread of an aesthetic absorbed by his father's artistic legacy which has its roots in ancient art and Mediterranean suggestions. She undertakes a passionate research and creation of historical and tribal headdresses and costumes by working on the assembly of textile elements
